About Banner of Saint George

The Banner of Saint George is a nonprofit organization rooted in the historic Christian faith, dedicated to acts of mercy, spiritual formation, cultural renewal, and literary witness. Inspired by the enduring call to serve “the least of these,” we seek to stand where truth and compassion meet—offering presence in crisis, beauty in brokenness, and hope where the world sees none.

Flanagan House

One of our most urgent and heartfelt initiatives is the Father Flanagan House—a faith-rooted residential community for teen boys experiencing homelessness. Inspired by the legacy of Boys Town and modeled on a trauma-informed, spiritually grounded framework, the Father Flanagan House is being built in Howell, Michigan as a place of safety, structure, and belonging. Drawing in youth from across metro Detroit, Lansing, and beyond, the home will provide not just shelter, but brotherhood, mentorship, education, and formation. Through rhythms of prayer, discipline, martial arts, and daily life shared in community, the Father Flanagan House aims to raise up a generation of young men who know they are seen, loved, and called to live with purpose.

Our Background

Members of our team bring deep experience in areas such as pastoral ministry, hospice care, addiction recovery, trauma-informed counseling, and spiritual direction. This allows us to serve others not as outsiders, but as those who have walked the road of suffering alongside them. Through presence, compassion, and faithful service, we aim to restore dignity, rebuild trust, and help others rediscover meaning in the midst of hardship.

Knights of Saint George Press

In addition to this work of mercy and presence, we are committed to the renewal of the Christian imagination. Our publishing wing—Knights of Saint George Press—produces books and media that stir the heart, challenge the mind, and uplift the soul. We focus on memoirs, spiritual reflections, historical and religious fiction, homiletics, and stories that spring from the biblical imagination. We are particularly drawn to voices that illuminate the beauty of faith through narrative—especially those often overlooked in the broader literary world.

Through literature, we believe the Church speaks—not only in doctrine, but in story, poetry, memory, and parable. Our publications aim to draw the reader into deeper contemplation of God, of humanity, and of the mystery of grace. Christian publishing, like Christian service, is a kind of sacrament—a visible sign of invisible truths.

Our Faith

At the heart of all we do is the ancient Christian confession proclaimed in the Nicene Creed. We do not seek to invent a new gospel, but to live the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic faith with integrity and love in our own generation. Rooted in the Church’s unbroken witness, we affirm the truth of Christ—“God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God”—and labor to serve His kingdom in every quiet act of mercy and proclamation. Whether we are sitting beside the dying, mentoring a troubled youth, or transcribing the wisdom of the saints, our work flows from the faith once delivered to the apostles and is offered entirely in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Our Supporters

Whether you are drawn to our local outreach, our publications through Knights of Saint George Press, or the opportunity to support works of mercy and evangelization, we invite you to walk alongside us.

We are committed to financial transparency, faithful stewardship, and the responsible use of every gift entrusted to us. Our nonprofit status allows us to direct every donation toward work that serves both body and soul.

We are not merely an aid organization or a publisher—we are a community under a banner: a sign of hope, a symbol of service, and a reminder that, even in the face of suffering, the light of Christ does not falter.
